1st Year Out: The Gucci Mane Glow Up

May 26, 2016, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was released from federal custody. Today a year later, Gucci Mane has released a new album, is engaged to his long time girlfriend and subsequently living his best life.

Radric Davis, better known by his stage name Gucci Mane is a legend in trap music and southern rap.  Gucci was serving a prison sentence for violating his parole in 2013. During his time in the big house, Gucci Mane sobered up, lost weight, changed his mindset and since his release, has not looked back.

When I was on drugs so bad, you know, I talked different
I was drinking lean like crazy everyday, I was out my mind

Since May 2016, the rapper has hit several career highs. Upon his release, Gucci immediately returned to the studio. The album โ€œDrop Top Wopโ€ produced by Metro Boomin released today May 26, is just one of Guwop's multiple winning projects. His post-prison accomplishments include a fashion feature in, as well as a dope feature on the number one song in the country  with rap duo Rae Sremmurd.

Today we celebrate 1 year of excellence with Gucci Mane. It has only been one year however the self proclaimed East Atlanta Santa shows no signs of slowing down.

Gucci Mane has added  author to his list of talents.  The Autobiography of Gucci Mane is set to be released September 19th 2017 and already available for pre-order. Along with his book and of course his music, Gucci Mane is working on a clothing line.
