Album Spotlight: Cardi B "Invasion Of Privacy"

Bronx rapper Cardi B debut album release proved that her vibrant personality, authentic style and gangsta bitch music are here to stay.  Many were skeptical of Cardi B’s first album, fearing the strength of Bodak Yellow had been stripped away. Mixed reviews about both of her single releases Bartier Cardi and Be Careful had some questioning whether or not the album would flop.

In true Cardi B fashion, the rapper has risen to the top. When it comes to excelling Cardi B is no stranger. A “Cardi B Year” is becoming the 365 day goal. Fans watched Cardi B take 2017 and flip it and tumble it. She dominated charts, got engaged broke records, made rap history and became a pop culture phenomena all by being herself.

It looks as if 2018 will not be slowing down. Cardi B’s album which debuted at gold status due to the major success of the money moves anthem Bodak Yellow, came with a feature performance on Saturday Night Live and the reveal of a blossoming baby bump, formally announcing her and her Migo’s member fiance Offset were expecting

Cardi B continues to look at standards for women in hip hop and entertainment and shatter expectations. Invasion Of Privacy has a song for everyone. The album starts out strong with intro track Get Up 10 and the energy flows through the remainder of the album.  With features from other chart toppers from Chance The Rapper, SZA, Kehlani, Migos, 21 Savage and YG, Invasion of Privacy delivers a fun album that explores multiple themes prevalent in Cardi B’s musical style.
